Beach Block introduces you to the artistic vision of Lauren Rothstein, a local math teacher and island surfer from LBI. Lauren's creative journey centers around block printing, a craft where she sketches beach-inspired designs, carves them into blocks, and then applies ink to produce stunning prints. Lauren's inspiration for Beach Block Prints stems from the incredible women who ride the waves of Long Beach Island. She's crafted 12 distinct prints forming the "Sisters of the Sea" calendar featuring these captivating artworks. Don't miss this opportunity to celebrate the synergy of surf and art! FEMME OCEAN profiles five women from Portugal, Morocco, and Sri Lanka, who fell in love with a sport long dominated by men. They are pioneers, athletes, adventurers, activists, and artists who share a unique bond with surf and the sea, pushing the limits of social convention.

After planting dune grass, you are encouraged to attend the Surfrider meeting happening at South End Surf ‘N Paddle. This is a mellow meeting is to discuss on-going campaigns, programs and upcoming events. Join our efforts to protect our oceans, waves and beaches!

Help to restore our dunes! As beachgrass grows, the roots (rhizomes) form a weave within the sand. Blades of dune grass trap even more sand as wind blows, allowing the dune to grow naturally.

Planting dune grass is a great community event run by Surfrider Foundation Jersey Shore and Alliance for a Living Ocean.

Chris is a public speaker, big wave surfer and guinness world record holder for crossing the Atlantic Ocean on a paddleboard in 93 days. Come hang out and hear some of his crazy stories in person.

Beach Haven Volunteer Company is having their annual fundraiser on Amber Street in Beach Haven on Saturday, September 30th. Amber intersects with the alley that runs behind our shop. So we are having another Back Alley Sale! We will have Soft Tops, Spring Wetsuits, apparel, swimwear and more on sale. We will be donating a percentage of each purchase to the Volunteer Fire Company.
