The Story behind the brand

Don Hansen is the founder of Hansen Surfboards. Born in Redfield, South Dakota, he worked hard from an early age. Don he attended classes at the University of South Dakota in the late 1950’s. He was introduced to surf films by two brothers who were attending the college. They were from Southern California. This piqued his interest so after he graduated he made his way to Coronodo where his surfing manufacturing journey and surf lifestyle all began.
